Does cheap airline tickets exsist?
(Not sure if my question posted or not) I'm trying to book some flights with in the US, and I'm coming to realize how expensive it is. From Los Angeles, to Texas runs about $800 bucks!, and that's 3 months in advance in booking. Can anyone recommend any tips? websites? for me to use to purchase tickets. I have no preference in airlines, and I've tried so far: cheaptickets.com, orbitz.com, and a few others that I can't recall their names.

- I can recommend a few things to help you get this price down. http://www.farecompare.com/maps/myAirportCategoryMap.html?departure=LAX&category=Domestic http://www.bookingbuddy.com/ http://matrix.itasoftware.com/cvg/dispatch/prego/calendar Where to from LAX, and which dates? Add this, and I'll check back and try to help you some more. Farecompare, for example, found Austin $198 for midweek travel days in 3 months from now (early Dec.); ITA took the same dates and got it down to $189 on American; Bookingbuddy also confirmed seats available for $189 r/t total for that travel window if you book direct from the airline's website.
- You should be able to use Jet Blue from Long Beach - they usually have low rates. I go Ft Lauderdale to Long Beach and back on 5 day notice for about $119 each way. Jet Blue and 7 day advance purchase from Long Beach to Austin TX $119 each way. also try Spirit Airlines for other flights in US
- If you are looking to fly in December, then it will be hard to find cheap airfare. Some tips would be to see how much it would cost to fly from an alternative airport. Instead of flying from LAX, look at ticket prices if you fly from Orange County, Burbank, Long Beach or Ontario. Go to Southwest's website to see if they have any low airfares. Southwest does not partner up with a travel website so you would not be able to find their ticket prices unless you go to their website.
