When is the best time to look for airline tickets?

I've heard that airline tickets are cheaper when it is searched and purchased at a certain time. I've heard searching for tickets on like a Tuesday evening or during the weekday would produce cheaper flights because they are trying to fill the seats up. Can someone let me know if this is true or also what times you would recommend searching & purchasing tickets? It's just for a domestic flight the week of Christmas. Thanks!

1. This is NOT true- its not going to be cheaper on a tuesday as compared to a weekend when booking a ticket- BUT if you can fly on those days (midweek), its usually cheaper than flying on a weekend. Thats probably what you heard and mistook it for the booking of a ticket day. And flying around Christmas- my best thought is to buy asap- waiting any longer will only lead to higher prices as seats fill up quicker.

Just compare around and you will find a great deal. there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
